Han & Fran: The Office Best Friends Who Danced Their Way to the BGT Final They arrived with an ABBA medley, sparkling outfits and no intention of taking themselves too seriously. By the end of Britain’s Got Talent 2025, Han & Fran had gone from office colleagues to national television finalists. Before Britain’s Got Talent, Hannah “Han” Roberts and Fran Cottington lived far away from the glamorous world of television entertainment. The best friends from Llandudno in North Wales worked in administrative office jobs. Their friendship, however, had always included music. At the time, they were 35 and 36 years old and hoped to become the first Welsh winners of the competition. Their audition was built around an energetic medley of ABBA songs, including “Take a Chance on Me,” “Dancing Queen” and “Mamma Mia.” From the beginning, their performance felt more like a party than a traditional singing audition. They combined vocal harmonies with playful dancing, colorful costumes and an enthusiasm that quickly spread across the theater. The audience was soon singing, clapping and dancing with them. The judges had different opinions about the performance. Simon Cowell admitted that he was not completely convinced by the vocals, but he also recognized that the reaction inside the theater could not be ignored. The Wildcard Surprise Britain’s Got Talent includes a Wildcard, allowing the judges to return one eliminated semi-final act to the competition. When the 2025 final began, Han & Fran had not been announced as part of the lineup. Their return was kept secret until they were revealed onstage as the judges’ Wildcard selection. Suddenly, the best friends who thought they had missed their opportunity were standing in the BGT final. They opened the show with another all-singing, all-dancing celebration of ABBA. Their final medley included “Take a Chance on Me,” “Does Your Mother Know” and “Mamma Mia,” supported by dancers and a full disco-style production. The performance represented everything audiences had come to expect from them: bright costumes, comedy, friendship, familiar songs and an atmosphere that invited viewers to join the party. Bruno Tonioli praised their voices and harmonies, while Amanda Holden described them as one of her favorite acts from the series. Han & Fran ultimately finished in ninth place. Magician Harry Moulding won the competition, but reaching the final was already an extraordinary result for a duo that had started the year working behind office desks.
